Our chef has been 'head-hunted' for the career opportunity of a lifetime - whilst we are seeking a replacement we have reluctantly decided to close the restaurant for a couple of weeks rather than risk dissapointing our regular diners who know we pride ourselves on our cuisine.
We are very sorry to inconvenience those who wish to dine, however, there are a number of good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

This Spring and Summer the Jurassic Coast of Dorset brings a plethera of sights & sounds and things to do.

The magnolias of Abbotsbury Gardens are in bloom and there are gorgeous baby swans at the Swannery enjoying their first Spring sunshine. The whole countryside around here is full of birding and photographic opportunities.

Those visiting this area who have an interest in the Arts will find many galleries and studios run by local artists whose skills vary from pottery, through sculpture to magnificent paintings on silk.

There are also great street markets to browse, historic houses and gardens to explore - and down at the shore, Jurassic fossils to discover!
